Not sure where this will all go, but we’re two avid readers who just happen to be librarians. We deal with books all day long and then go home and read. Geeks? Maybe. Lovers of books? Definitely. We’ve decided to begin this blog because we see so many wonderful books become orphans either because of lack of support from publishers or lack of word of mouth.
We’ll review and comment on what we read and how we feel about books, publishing, and the world from time to time. Our policy is to be as honest as we can without being hurtful. We’ll let you know if the book is great or a dog, but we will attempt to be as constructive as possible.
Welcome and feel free to let us know how you feel.
By the way Ed would never sit on a bookcase in the library and read – he’s just too proper fo
r that. I do resemble the bulldog in the sense that I love to read while laying on the floor on my belly and have been known to nod off while doing so.

I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Glad to find your blog, especially your piece about the masterful Mal Peet’s “Life” (whose “Tamar” I adored.)
Got to ask. Is that photo at the top of Painshill Park in Cobham?
I truly don’t know where the photo was taken. Sorry. But it is beautiful, is it not? Makes me wish I was there at this very moment. Glad you found our blog, as well.

As a faithful reader of your blog, I wanted to share this link about library buildings with you. Wasn’t sure which post to share it on (and I am no longer on FB) so I went back to the beginning. Sorry if you have seen it before. I really enjoy your posts and look forward to them coming to my inbox.
