Memorial Day Weekend means one thing. The annual Bob Dylan Festival at the Warwick Valley Winery. Three days of great music, great hard cider and (mostly) great weather. There were several highlights of this year’s festival.
1. They have a new cider: dry hopped hard apple cider. Quite yummy. Hey, don’t I have great legs?
2. As always, the Kennedys, E’lissa Jones and Rod MacDonald are great entertainment. Two things made it even better. The Kennedys were there for all 3 days, E’lissa Jones was there for 2 and they both played together with Rod MacDonald. It’s kind of like the super group of the Hudson Valley. When they get rockin’, everybody’s up and dancing.
The weather Sunday and Monday was perfect. It was blue skies and wispy clouds.
The crowds this year were bigger than ever. Despite that, everyone was friendly and considerate (except for one guy who couldn’t find it in his heart to let me squeeze my one small chair in the shade…more than likely he’s not a regular).
As I was leaving, the family sitting next to me said, “See you next year.” I’ll definitely be there.
