If you haven’t been to the New York Botanical Gardens Train Show, you are missing something spectacular. And if you haven’t been there at night for one of their Bar Car Nights, there’s still a chance to get there.
An Eat Up New York review says it best. We also opted, for our complimentary drink, the boxcar punch, a mix of cranberry, pineapple, lemon, frambroise, gin and prosecco. Quite tasty!!!
The Christmas tree is beautiful and looks so different than it does during the day, without all the lights on. I must also tell you that going through the show a second time this season, I saw things I totally missed the first time, like the Flatiron Building (one of my favorites) and the Guggenheim Museum.
My only suggestion: since you have to pick a tour time for the show, pick an early one so you have time to listen to the music (ours was French songs from the 1920s-1940s), sample the dinner fare (which we didn’t have time to do) and mosey through the garden shop. There’s always something to catch your eye there.
Since I love bridges, here’s one of my favorite photos:
Have fun and we’ll see you there next year.
