Bagged Two Books

Having just finished loving Wisdom’s Kiss by Catherine Gilbert Murdock and mildly enjoying The Drop by Michael Connelly, I was looking forward to reading a Young Adult fairy tale by an author I like. Unfortunately, 17 pages into it, I just couldn’t get into it. So, I bagged that one for an adult book by an author I really like. It was outside his ‘normal’ genre, so I didn’t know what to expect. Ten pages in I got bogged down and I bagged book two.

Is it me? Is it timing? Is it mood? Is it the book?

Gladly, I started another book which I really like. I guess I should tell you the name, huh? Well, It’s The Big Goodbye by Michael Lister. A noir-ish mystery set in Panama City, FL. But that’s all I’m going to say for now, because I’m really wondering how many of you have bagged books early on and for what reason. Do you go back to them? I’ve done that once. I don’t remember even which book, but I remember liking it the second time.

So, any of you out there who feel like commenting, feel free.
